Expert Services

My goal is to provide you with the information you need to understand the visual evidence in your case.

  • As a consulting expert I can help you to understand if the videos or photographs in the case are beneficial or harmful to your case. If there is a question about what a scene looked like or about what an object looks like, I can help resolve the issue through photography. Having this knowledge enables you to know how to handle the visual evidence in your case.
  • As a testifying expert I will use my years of experience and the analysis of your visual evidence to testify about my findings in a comprehensive way so that the trier of fact understands the visual evidence in your case.
  • As a rebuttal expert I will show the weaknesses and errors (if they exist) in the opinions of opposing experts.

My expertise is in the following areas:

Image & Video Analysis

Forensic image and video analysis includes the examination, evaluation, analysis, enhancement, authentication, comparison, and measurement of photographs, video, and other image data.

Image & Video Authentication

The analysis of photos and video to determine if they are what they purport to be, if they depict real events, and whether or not they have been altered.

Image & Video Enhancement

Enhancement and clarification usually refers to correcting image blur, reducing image noise, or making adjustments to brightness and contrast to bring out details that are otherwise difficult to discern.

Comparative Analysis

Comparing a person or object in a photo or video to another to determine if they are the same, different, or have common characteristics. This may include comparisons of people, clothing, or vehicles involved in crimes or accidents, or other objects of evidence in photographs, etc.

Forensic Photography

Scientific and technical photography to illustrate how a scene looked at the time of an incident, to show product defects, to illustrate patent issues, and to record product defects.
